How We Respond to Concerns
Listen and Record
If a child discloses a concern, we listen carefully and record what they tell us accurately.
Assess the Concern
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead assesses the concern and determines the appropriate response.
Report if Necessary
We report concerns to the appropriate statutory agencies, such as children's social care or the police.
Support the Child
We continue to support the child and family throughout any safeguarding process.
Information Sharing & Confidentiality
- We treat all information about children and families with respect and confidentiality.
- We only share information on a need-to-know basis with professionals directly involved in the child's care.
- We will always share information when we believe a child is at risk of significant harm.
- We will explain to families when and why we need to share information, unless doing so would put the child at greater risk.
- Our information sharing practices are in line with GDPR and relevant safeguarding legislation.
